Rebecca De Mornay was born in 1959 and group up in California. Her father was a radio host and her grandmother was an actress so there's entertainment in the family and it should come as no surprise that she found herself attracted to performing from an early age. She made her film debut in the Francis Ford Coppola movie "One from the Heart" and the notice from that casting got her the role in "Risky Business" where she played a hooker opposite Tom Cruise. The film was a big hit and her career was solidified. It was only her second movie but it was popular enough to ensure that people would cast her for years to come. She still works regularly, in fact.
She and Tom Cruise hit it off while filming and lived together for two and a half years after they finished filming. She has been married twice and has two children with her second husband, Patrick O'Neal. She was married to her first husband for less than a year. Other notable film roles from her career include "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle", "Backdraft", "The Three Musketeers" and "Guilty as Sin". She's done a little bit of television here and there, including a role on the short-lived HBO series "John from Cincinnati".
