Heidi Montag, sometimes referred to by her married name Heidi Pratt, is a reality TV personality. She is a common face in scandal magazines and her private life receives a lot of press coverage. Montag was born September 15th, 1986 in Crested Butte, Colorado. After she graduated high school, Montag went to San Francisco where she was enrolled in the Academy of Art University. It was there that Montag met Lauren Conrad who would later become her costar in the reality TV series "The Hills". The two girls became friends because they stood out because of their blonde hair and bubbly appearance. They later transferred together to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Montag dropped out of the school in 2005.
When Conrad was given her own reality show called "The Hills" in 2006, Montag costarred as Conrad's roommate. On "The Hills", Montag's costar was Spencer Pratt and the two became a couple and eventually got married in 2007. Their marriage took place in Mexico without any ceremony or family present. The event only lasted 15 minutes. Around this time, Heidi Montag also underwent extreme plastic surgery which included breast augmentation, rhinoplasty and lip injections. Later, in 2010, Heidi Montag told People magazine about her obsession with plastic surgery. She almost died from receiving too much Demerol.
In addition to reality TV, Montag also is a singer. In 2007, she began work on an album for Warner Bros. Her debut was the song "Body Language" which also featured Pratt rapping. The subsequent releases were met with negative reviews. In 2010, Heidi Montag's debut album was released. Despite costing 2,000,000 to produce, the album sold just over 1,000 copies in the first week. In addition to music and television, Montag has her own fashion line.
