Christina Applegate is an actress who gained her fame playing the ditzy yet very attractive daughter in the TV series "Married..with Children". She was born November 25th, 1971 in Hollywood. A celebrity life seemed to run in her blood. Christina Applegate's mother, Nancy Lee Priddy, was an actress and a singer. Her father was a record company executive who also produced records. Not long after Christina was born, her parents divorced. Her father remarried and Christina has two half siblings from this marriage.

As a child, Christina Applegate got her first taste of acting with her mother. When she was just 3 months old, she appeared on the soap opera "Days of Our Liveswith" her mother. Throughout childhood, Christina Applegate appeared in various roles on TV series and TV movies. In 1987, Applegate received the role of Kelly on "Married with Children" and gained her fame. The show lasted for a full 10 years. In addition to this show, Applegate has appeared in many movies such as "Don't Tell Mom", "the Babysitter's Dead", "Mars Attacks!", "Anchorman", just to name a few.

Her most recent success was in the TV series "Samantha Who?" in which Applegate played the lead role. This was a departure from her earlier typecast as a bimbo blonde or sex symbol. Christina Applegate has done a good job of avoiding the paparazzi and keeping her personal life out of the tabloids, in spite of the fact she has been named one of the most beautiful people by People Magazine. In 2008, Christina Applegate was diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer but was able to recover fully thanks to early detection. Christina Applegate is also known for her charity work with children and with animal rights groups.
