Ashley Greene came to the entertainment world with the role in Twilight and stayed there for the time being. She comes from Jacksonville, FL, born a week after Valentine's Day, 23 years ago.
Aware of her good looks, she wanted to model but her height stopped her from ever entering that industry. She sought further work in ads and took lessons. Finishing school before her class, she went to fulfill her dream in front of the camera.
She was still a teen when she came to Los Angeles but a really determined one. Though it wasn't memorable, she actually got the parts in Punk'd and Crossing Jordan as well as MADtv, before getting a role in Twilligth series that made her popular. This 1st installment of the series actually won her a Teen Choice Award in the Fresh Face category. The involvement in all 3 Twilight movies got her roles in many others with 4 movies to come out this year, and 1 already planned for next. Interestingly enough, the part of Alice Cullen came by pure chance given that she wasn't familiar with the books of the same name. She loves clothes and dressing up and is on the internet pages of StopStaring.com.
On a personal front, she wants her partner to be her equal and someone she can share things with where things are reciprocal between them. She learnt this need to be equal from her sibling as well as her parents who are still together. To her family and friends, she is also known as Asher.
While her modeling career didn't take off the way she dreamed it would, she is actually thankful for it as the movie world is what suits her best. She still posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition in '10 having a swimsuit that was actually painted rather than worn. |
